Piešťany Physiotherapy Days 2025: New impulses for physiotherapy

Piešťany, November 13 and 14, 2025. The annual Piešťanské fyzioterapeutické dni conference took place in the picturesque spa town of Piešťany, right here at the ADELI Medical Center. The conference not only offered a high-caliber scientific program, but also sent an important signal for interdisciplinary cooperation in physiotherapy.

The opening speech was given by MUDr. Juraj Štofko ( Doc. MUDr. Juraj Štofko is Chairman of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Deputy Head of the I. Neurological Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava and President of the Piešťanské fyzioterapeutické dni Conference). In his speech, he emphasized the central goal of the conference: to bring together physiotherapists, balneologists and other specialists in order to create new impulses for therapy and research through synergies. He emphasized that this is the first conference of its kind, a joint meeting that brings together previously separate specialist areas. Thanks to the international participation, including from Hungary, Austria and Germany, a particularly high professional standard is guaranteed. He also expressed the hope that the event would not only be professionally enriching, but that new partnerships and friendships would also be formed, thus strengthening the interdisciplinary network.

The theme of the Piešťanské fyzioterapeutické dni program was "Physiotherapy in an interdisciplinary context". Numerous international experts, including from Slovakia, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic, gave presentations and held discussions. The conference was divided into several sessions that highlighted different aspects of physiotherapy. Key topics included neurorehabilitation, balneological therapy, the use of virtual reality in rehabilitation and kinesiology.

The opening program was attended by high-ranking personalities: Representatives of the Ministry of Education, the rector of UCM in Trnava, a university, and the mayor of Piešťany emphasized the political and social importance of this event.

For the participating physiotherapists, the conference was not only professionally valuable: according to the program, they were able to earn 7 continuing education credits, an attractive incentive for professional development. Overall, the Piešťanské fyzioterapeutické dni 2025 provided a platform for professional exchange, interdisciplinary networking and international cooperation. The event marks an important step towards closer cooperation between therapists, research institutions and spa medicine.
