Particularly popular were ADELI's sensory-motor course and the ICAROS balance platform with virtual reality. These required balance and coordination just as much as concentration, a cool head, and quick decisions. This turned movement into a playful challenge and every round into a small sense of achievement.
The older children and teenagers were thrilled by the virtual world of movement of the ICAROS. Participants up to senior age also took on the challenge. Strength, coordination, and body control were put to the test in a playful way.
Precisely this combination of movement, challenge, and fun made the ICAROS a special experience for many.
Shortly before the start of the new school year, the ADELI Medical Center in Bruckneudorf was part of the Kinderfreunde festival. The event offered children of various age groups the opportunity to playfully discover their physical and social skills and accept new challenges.
A special highlight was the ADELI sensory-motor course. The varied route presented the children with very different tasks. Among other things, balance, stability, coordination, core strength, body awareness, and impulse control were required.
It quickly became apparent that some challenges require more than just physical skills. The children had to look out for each other, show consideration, communicate with each other, and sometimes wait patiently. Thus, social skills such as empathy, consideration, and mutual support were also naturally encouraged.
The course thus not only made movement a tangible experience, but also showed how closely physical development and social experiences are intertwined.
For many parents, exchanging ideas with the therapists at the ADELI Medical Center was also particularly valuable.
With their many years of experience and trained eye for movement, the therapists were also able to notice minor anomalies that are not always immediately obvious in everyday life. This resulted in numerous interesting conversations with parents about the individual motor development of their children.
The festival day thus offered a wonderful opportunity to experience movement not only as play and entertainment, but also to perceive it as an important component of healthy development.
The older children and teenagers were also thrilled by the virtual world of movement of the ICAROS. But it wasn't just the younger ones who wanted to test their skills – participants up to senior age also took on the challenge.
Strength, coordination, and body control were put to the test in a playful way. At the same time, it was about realistically assessing one's own abilities and figuring out: What can I already do? Where are my limits? And what goal do I want to achieve next?
Precisely this combination of movement, challenge, and fun made the ICAROS a special experience for many.
The Kinderfreunde festival has once again shown how positively movement can affect motivation and mood.
With a good mood, curiosity, and joy, it is easier to take on new challenges, use one's own strength, and grow beyond oneself. And when others support, encourage, and join in, a personal challenge becomes a shared experience.
We wish all children, parents, educators, and teachers a successful start to the new school year – with lots of joy in movement, courage for new challenges, and mutual support.
A strong tailwind for the coming school year!
