ADELI HOPE RUN on July 31, 2026: We run so that others can walk

The program on Friday, July 31, 2026, begins at 2:00 PM with the opening of presentations and registration for runners. The official opening for participants and guests follows at 3:00 PM with a concert by Lukáš Adamec. The individual running categories start from 4:45 PM, and the Charity ADELI Mile begins at 5:00 PM. The awards ceremony will take place at 7:15 PM.

“When a young person with a disability can participate in a run together with healthy people, it fills them with the feeling of belonging.” These words from a deeply moved mother of an ADELI Hope Run 2025 participant capture the essence of the event. Another mother described her personal experience: “Thanks to the therapies at ADELI, our daughter can sit and walk today. Her developmental disorder has not disappeared. To maintain these skills as she grows, she continues to need intensive rehabilitation.”

The first ADELI Hope Run last year touched everyone who was there. The determination of children and adults, athletes, volunteers, and people with special needs filled the Piešťany Lodenica with an atmosphere full of hope, attention for one another, and solidarity. The event impressively demonstrated that sports can connect people – regardless of age, health restrictions, or personal life history.

The ADELI Hope Run 2026 builds on this idea. This year, the ADELI Foundation is organizing three charity runs for patients who require intensive neurorehabilitation. The largest of these runs will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 2:00 PM directly at the Lodenica in Piešťany, in the immediate vicinity of the ADELI Medical Center, as part of the international Slovakman Triathlon.

“We run so that others can walk again,” says Radka Šulovská, Managing Director of the ADELI Foundation, describing the central idea of the event. “We have prepared running disciplines for children and adults, plus a concert by Lukáš Adamec, numerous accompanying activities, and several innovations. Special tricycles are available for those who need support or want to try something new. Furthermore, a varied culinary offer, a raffle, and a program for all generations await visitors.”

The heart of the event remains the Charity ADELI Mile, which starts at 5:00 PM. It is not about speed or performance, but about the shared experience and the feeling that no one is excluded.

On the track, patients with neurological impairments meet their families, friends, volunteers, and runners. Together, they symbolically complete a mile – each in their own way: on their own legs, with a walking aid, in a wheelchair, or with the support of relatives.

“The Charity ADELI Mile shows the world we dream of at ADELI: a world in which every person has space for development, support, and their own place in the community,” emphasizes Radka Šulovská.

The event continues on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with the international Slovakman Triathlon. Visitors can support the ADELI Medical Center team directly on site while also helping with a fundraiser for families and the activities of the ADELI Foundation. The fundraiser will culminate in a large raffle.

On both days, visitors can expect a program for all generations – on Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM:

  • Information stand of the ADELI Medical Center with physiotherapists,
  • ADELI Baby Zone with free developmental diagnostics for babies and toddlers,
  • Opportunity to try out the ICAROS balance training device,
  • Charity stand of the ADELI Foundation with exclusive merchandise,
  • Face painting for kids,
  • Bouncy castles,
  • Chill-out zone,
  • Raffle with attractive prizes,
  • Culinary offerings and further surprises.

The ADELI Hope Run is much more than a sports event. It is a meeting of people who want to show that help can have a concrete meaning. Every registration fee means direct support for patients who require intensive neurorehabilitation and often cannot afford it financially.
