Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Adeli Medical Center's Oxymed Center is an innovative procedure in which patients inhale 100 percent oxygen in a higher-than-atmospheric pressure environment. The therapy can be performed in a modern Haux pressure chamber that can accommodate up to 14 people.
The effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy is based on the fact that oxygen is introduced into the body at a higher pressure, allowing it to reach areas that are poorly or not at all accessible at normal atmospheric pressure. This has numerous positive effects on the body. In particular, the oxygen stimulates the metabolism of “dormant cells” in the brain and nervous tissue, which in turn promotes the growth of new tissue and the displacement of harmful oxygen radicals.
