The process of working with people who have CP or other health impairments is called therapeutic support or developmental promotion. However, it is possible to optimize, support, and provide personalized encouragement while making space for the fundamental aspects of life that healthy individuals take for granted—such as a future, respect, dignity, and yes, room to exist. It would be incredible if, in the case of neurological diseases, whose progression is completely unpredictable, people could at least count on the help of others!
