Under the watchful eye of experienced physiotherapists, the ADELI BABY ZONE the correct motor development of the youngest children is diagnosed. The next field examination will take place at the Karlova Ves Festival of Health.
The ADELI BABY ZONE is a proven outdoor format of field examination of the well-known neurorehabilitation center in Piešťany. This form of public service was created due to a special phenomenon: Parents do not lack the will to take care of their child's health, but they lack the right information in the right place at the right time. Physiotherapists and doctors at the center have been pointing out the late diagnosis of developmental delays and the resulting delayed therapeutic interventions for years.
In the specially developed ADELI BABY ZONE the therapists offer professional help and advice for parents and children aged 3 months to 3 years. Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about supporting child development directly from experts.

The ADELI Medical Center also has great support for its activities through its ADELI Foundation. Through the "Keys to a Healthier Future" project, funds are raised to help parents who are not financially prepared for intensive therapeutic stays. In addition, the ADELI Foundation is a strong partner in educating and raising awareness of the warning signs of delayed development in children.
During the first few months of a child's life, the brain is like a "sponge" and has the best learning opportunities. It is precisely during this time that inadequate absorption of innate reflexes, immaturity of the central nervous system or other developmental deficits can occur.
It is important to look for the cause on the one hand and to work on eliminating it or minimizing the consequences on the other. The earlier the necessary therapeutic intervention begins, the greater the chance of exploiting the child's potential to achieve developmental milestones. Even in the case of children with genetic syndromes, birth injuries and premature births, it is important that responsible parents actively work towards a solution.
Based on 20 years of experience, ADELI urges parents to monitor the charts of children's physiological development and to consult specialists in case of suspicious symptoms. Postponing the problem can make it more difficult to improve the condition. Supporting development in the earliest years is crucial for the even development of motor and cognitive skills, which has a direct impact on the child's future prospects.
The director of the ADELI Foundation, Ing. Zuzana Cyprichová, introduces the initiative that improves the prospects of an independent life: "A child cannot help themselves, so mindfulness of the environment is important. The "Keys to a Healthier Future" project is a systematic way to solve the problem of children with delayed development. It starts with early diagnosis, integrating the child into a rehabilitation program, securing funding and working with parents and pediatric neurologists to assess the goals of the supportive program."
Dr. Nataša Haringová, therapist at the BabyMed department, appeals to parents: "Caution should be exercised if the child was born prematurely, if the birth process was irregular, if there is a suspicion of a genetic syndrome or if the child's development is severely delayed without a known cause. Responsible parents should have basic information about the physiological laws of child development. Supporting a child's development in the earliest years is critical to the development of a young person's abilities later in life."
In Slovakia, as well as worldwide, every tenth child is born too early, too late or after a complicated birth. The older age of mothers and harmful environmental influences increase the risk of pregnancies and the frequency of genetic syndromes. These factors signal greater vigilance and external support for development. Inaction and failure to heed warning signals can lead to a loss of time that is difficult to make up and to delayed child development. The specialists at ADELI consider the issue of at-risk child development to be neglected or underestimated in society.
The earlier the intervention begins, the better the prospects for healthy child development. The ADELI Medical Center's public project aims to raise public awareness and draw attention to the irreplaceability of therapy in early childhood.
In the playful environment of the ADELI BABY ZONE the therapists of the ADELI Medical Center will focus on observing the motor and cognitive skills of children aged 3 months to 3 years. The zone can be visited by parents of premature babies, children with genetic syndromes, altered muscle tone (muscle hypertonia, hypotonia), children with suspected immaturity of the central nervous system, asymmetrical development or other suspicious signs. The aim is to support and accelerate the child's development and prevent permanent damage.
