Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Adeli Medical Center's Oxymed Center is an innovative procedure in which patients inhale 100 percent oxygen in a higher-than-atmospheric pressure environment. The therapy can be performed in a modern Haux pressure chamber that can accommodate up to 14 people.
The effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is based on the fact that oxygen is introduced into the body at a higher pressure and thus also reaches areas that can be reached poorly or not at all with normal air pressure. This has numerous positive effects on the body. In particular, the oxygen stimulates the metabolism of "dormant cells" in the brain and nerve tissue, which in turn promotes the growth of new tissue and the displacement of harmful oxygen radicals. It also reduces and heals inflammation, and improves cerebral blood flow and glucose metabolism.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is particularly suitable for patients with neurological diseases and injuries affecting the central nervous system. It can also be used for acute and chronic wounds and inflammation. In addition, it can contribute to general health promotion and increase physical and mental well-being.
During the therapy, the pressure in the chamber is slowly increased and gradually decreased again after the treatment. Patients breathe 100 percent oxygen through face masks or special helmets throughout the therapy. The treatment is painless and has no side effects.
Our therapy programs are individually tailored to the needs of our patients.
In order to set up an individual therapy program, we need to get to know each other. To this end, we offer each of our patients a free consultation at ADELI Medical Center .
We offer you a variety of information material and news on the subject of neurological and physiological rehabilitation. Should you still have open questions, you will find further contact options in the help section.
In the internal area you can save contributions, therapies and other information on the website for yourself. We are constantly expanding our platform, so you can expect more useful features in the future.
